The best on a very poor Tuesday at Galway came from La Note Verte who was 6th in a race won by Sticktotheplan who beat Vicar Street by 2 1/4 lengths. The other pick Slieve Binnian was 14th with the contest going to Dunum who beat Bear Profit by a head.
Galway stages day 3 of it's summer festival on Wednesday with 7 races and 2 main events.
6.05: Tote, 5,000 Guaranteed Jackpot Irish EBF Mares Handicap Hurdle.
2: Farfromnowhere: A promising horse who returned from a year off to finish 2nd at Wexford 63 days ago. She made headway from 2 out briefly disputing the lead approaching the last but she kept on at the same pace on the run-in going down by 4 1/4 lengths. She has more to offer and can take this on handicap debut.
6.40: Tote Galway Plate (Handicap Chase) (Grade 3)
6: Nurburgring: A decent horse who was an excellent 2nd in the Ascot Stakes at the Royal meeting and then got off the mark in this sphere at Killarney 12 days ago. He led there for a second time 2 out going clear before the last and coming home by 4 1/2 lengths. Further improvement is expected here and he can follow up.
