5/7/25 Naas & Bellewstown

Friday's best came at Wexford where She's A Fine Wine was 3rd. The 11/4 joint favourite was 5th at halfway improving into 2nd entering the straight, she made no impression from the last keeping on at one pace while upfront Clarens beat Mr Saxobeat by 4 lengths. Over at Bellewstown World Tour was 5th in a race won by Empty Wallet who beat Camden Fort by a length.

On Saturday there are 7 races at both Naas and Bellewstown with 2 topping the bill.

Naas 4.17: Irish EBF Pat Smullen Stakes.

1: Daytona: A decent-looking horse who impressed when winning on debut at Gowran Park 20 days ago. He was 4th at halfway making headway to lead from a furlong out, he kept on well in the closing stages coming home by 2 1/2 lengths. With more to come he should take the step up in class here in his stride and follow up.

Bellewstown 6.30: Quinnbet Bellewstown Handicap Hurdle.

2: Bowensonfire: A useful horse who's last win came at Tramore in May. He was a good 3rd when last seen at Downpatrick 20 days ago where he travelled well to lead at the last but he was passed entering the straight having no extra inside the final furlong. He can continue his progress and quickly resume winning ways here.
