29/8/25 Wexford & Down Royal

Thursday's best at Navan came from Namiid who was 2nd. The 6/5 favourite led early being pressed from a furlong out, he was passed in the final 150 yards by Amiata who won by 1 1/4 lengths. The days other pick Genesis was 6th in a race won by Little Queenie who beat Nezeeh by 1/2 a length.

On Friday a double header sees 7 races at both Wexford and Down Royal with 2 highlights.

Wexford 6.35: Pat Farrell Memorial Rated Novice Chase.

3: Intellotto: A useful chaser who was a very creditable 3rd behind Gold Dancer in a Grade 3 at Galway when last seen 29 days ago. He recovered from an early mistake to sit 4th at halfway. He made no impression entering the straight keeping on at one pace. If his jumping improves then he is a big player here who can quickly return to winning ways.

Down Royal 6.53: Denny Hurdle.

6: Three Card Brag: A decent horse who's last win came at Navan in January. He was 8th in the Galway Plate 30 days ago but that can be discounted as he was hampered at the start. He stands out here back over hurdles and he can pick up a fifth career win.
