8/8/25 Wexford & Tipperary

Thursday's winner came at Sligo where Ballykinlar sat in midfield improving to dispute the lead from 2 out. The 7/2 shot got to the front soon after keeping on well and comfortably beating Chortal by 5 lengths. Over at Leopardstown Crystal Black was 2nd. He travelled well entering the straight challenging inside the final furlong but just failing to reach the winner Sons And Lovers who won by 1/2 a length. In the other Group 3 Mutasarref was 4th with the contest going to Johan who beat Alakaz by 1/2 a length.

There is a Friday double header which sees 8 races at Wexford and 7 at Tipperary with 2 features.

Wexford 5.28: Neville Hotels Handicap Hurdle.

7: Inchiquin Star: A good horse who enjoys running here winning twice last year including over this races distance. Her last victory came on the flat at Gowran Park in May where she led narrowly from 2 out and despite being strongly pressed she held on to win by a nose. She returns to hurdling here and can add to her fine course record.

Tipperary 5.47: Coolmore Stud Churchill Stakes.

1: Brussels: A promising horse who impressed when winning on debut at The Curragh in May. He ran better than the result suggests when 4th in the Group 2 July Stakes at Newmarket last month where he led from 2 out but was passed and had no more soon after. This exciting prospect can build on that here with the extra furlong sure to suit and pick up a 2nd career win.
