Friday's best came at Tipperary where Brussels was 2nd. The 10/11 favourite travelled well to lead 1 1/2 furlongs out, he was passed in the closing stages by Thesecretadversary who won by a length. Over at Wexford Inchiquin Star was 8th in a race won by Mercury Mission who beat Feud by a neck.
An 8 race card at The Curragh tops the bill on Saturday with 2 main events.
3.25: FBD Hotels And Resorts Phoenix Sprint Stakes (Group 3.)
11: Babouche: A decent horse who impressed when winning her first three starts including a group 1 over course and distance 12 months ago. She got back on track when winning the Lacken Stakes at Naas in May beating Whistlejacket by 2 3/4 lengths. Her run at Royal Ascot last time can be overlooked and she can win again here.
4.00: Keenland Phoenix Stakes (Group 1.)
2: Gstaad: A smart horse who after beating the reopposing True Love on debut at Navan went on to follow up in the Coventry at Royal Ascot where he led from a furlong out going clear in the closing stages and coming home by 3 lengths. He can continue his good form here and complete a hat-trick.
There are also 7 races at Kilbeggan where in the 7.00 my pick is number 4 Reverend Hubert.
