Thursday's winner came at Tramore where Venusienne led from the 2nd going 6 lengths clear at halfway, the 2/7 favourite kept on well very easily beating Glenmalure Lady by 27 lengths. Over at Thurles Duke Of Cumberland was 4th in a race won by Killashee Warrior who beat Matilda Joslyngage by 1 3/4 lengths.
On Friday we have 7 races at Downpatrick and 8 at Dundalk with 2 topping the bill.
Downpatrick 3.58: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle.
2: Pour Les Filles: A useful horse who has got better with each run in this sphere culminating in a second on this course when last seen back in January. He was 3rd at halfway leading from 2 out, he was strongly pressed on the run-in being passed close to home going down by a neck. Despite being off since he sets the clear standard here and can win for a 2nd time in his career.
Dundalk 4.50: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Legacy Stakes.
3: Kansas: A decent horse who was a creditable 5th behind Wise Approach in the Middle Park at Newmarket 2 weeks ago. He was in midfield staying on well from a furlong out but not being able to reach the winner. He goes back up in trip here and just gets the nod to return to winning ways.
