Friday's winner came at Sligo where Additional Time travelled well leading from 3 out, the 1/3 favourite went clear entering the straight and despite being eased down on the run-in he very easily beat Phoenix Arizona by 23 lengths. In the days Group 3 at Dundalk Star Of Lady M was 9th in a race won by Spartan Arrow who beat West Acre by 3/4 of a length.
The weekend begins with 7 races at Galway on Saturday where there are 2 highlights.
2.28: Connolly's Red Mills Irish EBF Auction Maiden Hurdle.
1: L'Evangeliste: A smart horse who made a good start to his hurdles career when 2nd at Listowel 30 days ago. He tracked the leaders early moving into 2nd four out, despite making no impression from the last it was an encouraging performance. Further improvement is expected and he can pick up a first win here.
4.13: W.B. Gavin & Co Handicap Hurdle.
3: Grann's Boy: A good horse who has a fine record in this sphere winning 3 of his last 5 including at Listowel in September. He sat 3rd two out leading before the last and coming home by 2 lengths. He followed up at Thurles earlier this month and with more to come he can complete a hat-trick here.
