On Sunday at Navan both my picks were 4th. Eclipse Chaser tracked the leaders early sitting 4th two out, the 5/2 favourite made no impression from the last while upfront Kalypso'chance beat The Big Clubman by 1 1/4 lengths. In the days other grade 3 Will The Wise was fifth 3 out improving slightly to take 4th soon after, the 7/1 shot kept on at one pace allowing Answer To Kayf to beat Yeah Man by 2 1/4 lengths.
The 8 race card that should have taken place at Navan on Saturday now begins a new week with 2 features.
2.10: Railway Bar Lisnullen Hurdle (Grade 2.)
1: The Yellow Clay: A top-class hurdler who won his first four starts including a grade one at Naas in January before finishing a fine second behind The New Lion in the Turners Novices Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March. He led from 2 out being challenged before the last, he was passed in the final 100 yards going down by 3/4 of a length. He fell on his final outing at Punchestown in May but he can bounce back here for a 7th career win.
2.45: Bar One Racing Fortria Chase (Grade 2.)
1: Marine Nationale: An excellent horse who stood out in this division last season taking the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham and then another grade one at Punchestown beating Captain Guinness by an easy 7 lengths. He makes his return here after 6 months off and should complete a hat-trick.
