Monday's best at Navan came from The Yellow Clay who was 2nd. The 8/15 favourite tracked the leaders sitting 2nd three out, he improved taking second on the run-in keeping on at one pace and allowing Colonel Mustard to win by 2 3/4 lengths. The days other pick Marine Nationale was a non-runner.
We have 7 races at Limerick on Tuesday with 2 highlights.
1.05: Adare Manor Opportunity Maiden Hurdle.
10: Torps: A smart horse who was a good second on this course when last seen 30 days ago. He was 4th at halfway and despite a couple of mistakes he kept on well on the run-in taking 2nd in the closing stages. He sets the standard here and should open his account.
1.35: Panoramic Restaurant At Limerick Races Mares Handicap Hurdle.
2: Bhean Saibhre: A good horse who got off the mark over hurdles at Ballinrobe in August. She was fifth approaching halfway improving to lead from 2 out, she quickened on the run-in going clear and coming home by 16 lengths. She ran well to finish 3rd on the flat at Bellewstown last time and gets the nod to quickly return to winning ways here.
