On Wednesday at Dundalk both my picks finished 2nd. Guardian Of Realm led early but she began to veer to the right from a furlong out, the 5/6 favourite kept on in the closing stages but was passed close to home by Mo Mhuirin who won by a nose. The other race saw Watch Tower sit 2nd at halfway but he made no impression in the final 100 yards allowing Golden Trigger to win by 2 lengths.
The meeting that was due to take place at Punchestown on Tuesday is now Thursday's action where on an 8 race card there are 2 features.
12.20: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase.
11: Kurasso Blue: A decent horse who won two of his first four starts his last being at Limerick in March. He was a good second on chase debut at Thurles 21 days ago leading at the 6th but being passed 3 out, he was one paced on the run-in going down by 3/4 of a length. He should progress further and can get back to winning ways here.
1.20: Matchbook 50:50 Graduation Series Mares Novice Hurdle.
5: Echoing Silence: A promising horse who won at Cork when last seen 39 days ago. She was 4th at halfway making progress from 3 out, she led soon after going clear and easily beating the reopposing Divaboriva by 6 lengths. She can definitely build on that here and complete the hat-trick.
