The best at Fairyhouse on Thursday came from Heron's Butler who was 2nd. The 8/1 shot led early but was strongly pressed early in the straight, he was passed 2 out keeping on at one pace and allowing Welluknow to win by 3 3/4 lengths. In the other contest Ag Obair Go Crua was 4th in a race won by West Of Carrig who beat Our Boy Rocky by 2 1/2 lengths.

4: Bryant: A promising horse who won over course and distance when last seen 49 days ago. He led from 2 out soon going clear, he stayed on well coming home by 1 1/2 lengths. He looks like the one to beat here and with more to come he can follow up.

4: Instant Appeal: A horse in excellent form for a new yard who completed a course hat-trick 30 days ago. He travelled well from 2 out leading approaching the final furlong, he kept on beating the reopposing Big Gossey by 1 1/4 lengths. A weight rise shouldn't be a problem and he can achieve the 4-timer here.
