Thursday's winner at Clonmel was Kilbrin Rocco. The 15/8 favourite was 5th at halfway and after a faller sat 3rd two out, he led on the run-in keeping on well to beat Doyen Magic by 2 lengths. In the other race Charlus failed to finish falling 2 out.
Weather permitting there is a Friday double header which sees 7 races at Naas and 8 at Dundalk with 2 features.
Naas 1.43: Ballymore Novice Hurdle (Grade 1.)
9: Sortudo: A smart horse who made a winning start to his hurdles career at Cork in November. He was 3rd at halfway travelling well to lead from 2 out, he asserted himself before the last easily coming home by 8 1/2 lengths. He should take the step up in class here in his stride and follow up.
Dundalk 3.25: Floodlit Friday's At Dundalk Stadium Apprentice Handicap.
8: Prairie Girl: A decent horse who has been a course and distance winner. She was last seen finishing a very good second behind the reopposing Buddy Batt here 35 days ago. She made all the running keeping on well and crossing the line first, she was demoted to second in the stewards room because of an incident inside the final furlong. She is worth another chance and can win here.
