25/10/24 Sligo & Dundalk

Thursday's winner at Clonmel was Tareze. The 8/11 favourite was 3rd at halfway sitting 2nd three out, he was left clear after the leader fell at the next keeping on well from the last coming home by a very comfortable 27 lengths. In the other race Old Bill Barley was 2nd. The 9/2 shot led for a 3rd time 50 yards from the finish but was passed close to home by Win Some Lose Some who won by 3/4 of a length.

A Friday double header sees 7 races at both Sligo and Dundalk with 2 highlights.

Sligo 4.20: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle.

2: The Story So Far: A fair hurdler who's latest win came at Limerick back in December. He was last seen finishing a good 5th at Naas in April tracking the leaders early sitting 5th two out keeping on at the same pace in the closing stages. He goes significantly up in trip here and despite being off 6 months he can win again.

Dundalk 7.30: William Hill Top Price Guarantee Mercury Stakes (Group 3)

1: Albasheer: A smart horse who has 3 wins so far this year. He was unsuited by conditions when 7th behind No Half Measures in the World Trophy at Newbury 34 days ago but his form before that run means it can be overlooked. He makes his polytrack debut here and should bounce back.
