Thursday's winner at Clonmel was Ballybow. The 5/6 favourite made all the running but after a couple of slight mistakes he was strongly pressed before the last, he kept on best under pressure on the run-in beating Ballygunner Castle by 1/2 a length. In the other race Jay Pee M was 4th with the contest going to Luminous Light who beat Natural Breeze by a neck.
Friday sees 7 races at Dundalk where there are 2 highlights.
5.10: Put The Fun In Fundraising At Dundalk Maiden.
7: Waterford Flow: A lightly-raced horse who was a good 3rd on this course when last seen 16 days ago. He was prominent sitting 4th at halfway challenging from a furlong out, he came under pressure in the closing stages dropping to 3rd. He goes back down in trip here and has an excellent chance to open his account.
6.15: Happy Valentines Day Rated Race.
1: Brigadier Kakuru: A decent horse who picked up a career best win over course and distance 31 days ago. He made all the running and despite having a narrow lead inside the final furlong he kept on well coming home by a head. He is the one to beat here and with further progress likely he should complete a hat-trick.
