The best at Dundalk on Friday came from Waterford Flow who was 2nd. The 5/2 shot led early being challenged from a furlong out, he was passed in the final 100 yards by Tiberius Thunder who won by 3/4 of a length. In the other race Brigadier Kakuru was 3rd with the contest going to Ohmyviette who beat Lyle The Crocodile by a neck.
The weekend begins on Saturday with 7 races at Gowran Park where we have 2 features.
1.55: Red Mills Trial Hurdle (Grade 3)
2: Kitzbuhel: A promising horse who ran well in France before winning on Irish debut at Punchestown 67 days ago. He was clear before the 5th having an increased lead at the last, he kept on best on the run-in coming home by 3 3/4 lengths. That performance showed he is talented and with more to come he can follow up here.
3.05: Red Mills Chase (Grade 2)
2: Saint Sam: A high-class horse who completed a hat-trick when winning the Clonmel Oil Chase in November. He wasn't disgraced when 2nd over hurdles at Punchestown on New Year’s Eve only going down by 1/2 a length. He is a big player here going back over larger obstacles and should quickly resume winning ways.
