The best at The Curragh on Wednesday came from Jorge Alvares who was 3rd. The 7/2 favourite made headway from 2 out soon taking 2nd, he dropped to 3rd inside the final furlong having no extra close to home. Upfront Gazelle D'or won beating Brigid's Cloak by a length. In the days other race Sixandahalf was 11th with the contest going to Mr Percy who beat Jabbar by a neck.
On Thursday there are 8 races at Leopardstown with 2 features.
5.25: King George V Cup.
6: Zahrann: A lightly-raced horse who built on the promise shown on debut when winning at Cork 30 days ago. Despite a poor start he made progress to lead from 2 out soon going clear and easily coming home by 7 lengths. The longer trip here should suit and with further improvement likely he can follow up.
5.55: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Glencairn Stakes.
6: Green Impact: A decent horse who has been a course winner in his career. He was a respectable 6th on return in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket 33 days ago despise being unsuited by the speed of the race. The stiffer test here should be in his favour and he is the one to beat before moving onto bigger things.
