On Wednesday two of my picks won. At Wexford Wonleg led from 2 out increasing his advantage at the last. Despite not being fluent the 5/2 favourite kept on to win by 1 1/4 lengths. Over at Naas Havana Anna tracked the leaders travelling well to lead 1 1/2 furlongs out, the 6/4 favourite stayed on strongly easily beating Ipanema Queen by 3 1/2 lengths. The other pick Super Sox was 8th in a race won by Sky Majesty who beat Carla Ridge by 3/4 of a length.
A 7 race card at Leopardstown tops the bill on Thursday with 2 highlights.
6.27: Saudi Cup Silver Flash Stakes (Group 3)
3: Composing: A decent horse who improved from her debut when winning at The Curragh 27 days ago. She led early and despite being strongly pressed from a furlong out she kept on well coming home by 3/4 of a length. She can definitely build on that here and follow up.
6.57: Japan Racing Association Tyros Stakes (Group 3)
2: Flushing Meadows: A smart horse who was last seen finishing a good 2nd in the Group 3 Anglesey Stakes at The Curragh last month. He led from 2 out but was passed in the final 100 yards, he stayed on just going down by a short head. He goes up in trip here and with more to come he should be tough to beat.
We also have 8 races at Wexford where in the 6.15 my pick is number 10 Small Town Hero.
