10/9/25 Cork

The best on Tuesday at Galway came from Island Hopping who was 3rd. The 8/1 shot pressed the leaders early challenging after five furlongs, she went 2nd three out but lost a place close to home. Upfront La Isla Mujeres won beating Bonnie Moon by 3 1/2 lengths. In the other race Blue Blue Moon was a non-runner.

With British racing going on strike on Wednesday for the first time in protest at proposed betting tax changes all eyes will be focused on Cork where on a 7 race card there are 2 features.

4.10: Irish EBF Auction Series Race.

11: Rosie Frith: A decent horse who opened her account on this course 47 days ago. She made all the running asserting herself from a furlong out and coming home by 2 1/4 lengths. Her performance in a listed race at The Curragh last time can be discounted and she can quickly return to winning ways here.

4.40: Coolmore Stud Gleneagles Irish EBF ( C&G.) Maiden.

7: Strike Zone: A good horse who finished 3rd on debut at Navan 2 weeks ago. He was 5th a furlong out improving to take 3rd close to home. He will improve further here with the step up in trip sure to suit and he can achieve a first career win.
