27/12/25 Leopardstown & Limerick

On an excellent Friday three of my picks won. At Down Royal Los Blanco recovered from a mistake 3 out to lead soon after, the 5/4 favourite kept on well to beat Dunleer Crystal by 2 1/4 lengths. Over at Leopardstown Narciso Has led for a second time 3 out and was 3 lengths clear early in the straight, the 11/10 favourite drew clear beating Adrienne by an easy 11 lengths. In the days Grade 1 Romeo Coolio was 4th at halfway improving into 2nd before the last, he challenged leading close to home beating Irish Panther by 1/2 a length. In the Grade 2 at Limerick The Big Clubman was 5th in a race won by Kazansky who beat County Final by a head.

On Saturday there are 7 races at both Leopardstown and Limerick with 3 main events.

Leopardstown 1.12: Paddy's Rewards Club Chase (Grade 1.)

5: Marine Nationale: An excellent chaser who after winning the Queen Mother at Cheltenham followed up when taking a Grade 1 at Punchestown on his last outing in April. He led before the last asserting himself on the run-in going clear and winning by 7 lengths. He is the one to beat here on his return and should achieve a hat-trick.

Limerick 1.27: Mcmahons Builders Providers Irish EBF Dawn Run Mares Novice Chase (Grade 2.)

5: The Big Westerner: A promising horse who was 2nd on fences debut at Fairyhouse a month ago. She was 2nd at the 8th challenging from 4 out, she made no impression in the closing stages going down by 4 lengths. With improvement likely she will be tough to beat here.

Leopardstown 1.47: Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle (Grade 1.)

3: Love Me Tender: A good horse who remains unbeaten after winning a Grade 3 at Tipperary 83 days ago. He made all the running going clear on the run-in and easily coming home by 6 1/2 lengths. He should be taken seriously here and can make it four from four.
