6.45: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Cooley Fillies Stakes.

3: Jancis: A useful filly who's best run this year was a second at Gowran Park back in May. She was a bit below form when 6th behind Johan in the Group 3 Desmond Stakes at Leopardstown last time but that should be discounted and despite being off 92 days she can bounce back here and win on polytrack debut.

Wednesday's winner at Dundalk was Instant Appeal. The 11/10 favourite made headway from 2 out leading in the final 100 yards, he kept on well beating Vhova by 3/4 of a length. The other pick White Smoke was 4th in a race won by Back To Me who beat My Cubby Bear by a short head.

2.22: T,A. Morris Memorial Irish EBF Mares Chase.

1: Spindleberry: A top-class horse who is unbeaten in 3 chase starts completing the hat-trick when taking the Grade 1 Willowwarm Gold Cup at Fairyhouse on her last outing back in April. She travelled well leading after 2 out keeping on strongly on the run-in beating Firefox by 4 1/2 lengths. Despite being off since she stands out in this division and should pick up the 4-timer here.

2.57: Clonmel Oil Chase (Grade 2,)

1: Il Etait Temps: An excellent horse who picked up a career best win in the Grade one Celebration Chase at Sandown in April. He made good headway from 3 out leading soon after, he went clear on the run-in easily beating Jonbon by 5 1/2 lengths. He is hard to look past here and can achieve an 8th career win on his return.

5/11/25 Dundalk

Tuesday's best at Fairyhouse came from Air Of Entitlement who was 2nd. The 6/5 favourite was at the rear early improving from 4 out, she moved into second soon after but made no impression before the last allowing Fad Eadrainn to win by 4 3/4 lengths. In the other race Kish Bank was 4th with the contest going to Bossofthebrownies who beat Union Station by an easy 13 lengths.

On Wednesday there are 8 races at Dundalk with 2 standing out.

2.15: Celebrate Your Special Occasion At Dundalk Stadium Median Auction Maiden.

12: White Smoke: A good horse who was 2nd on debut for a new yard at The Curragh in September. She was 4th at halfway improving to lead from a furlong out, she kept on well but was passed in the closing stages going down by 1/2 a length. She couldn't build on that at Navan last time but can bounce back here opening her account.

4.20: irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap.

3: Instant Appeal: A smart horse who was a creditable 3rd over course and distance when last seen 26 days ago. He was 2nd approaching halfway leading briefly 150 yards out, he was passed soon after making no impression. He should go well again here and achieve a 2nd career win.

8: Kish Bank: A useful hurdler who last won at Wexford in April where he was left in the lead 4 out asserting himself soon after, he was clear before the last easily coming home by 23 lengths. His performance at Punchestown later the same month can be overlooked and this exciting prospect should return to winning ways here,

2.45: Group Discounts On 6+ Tickets For Winter Festival Rated Hurdle.

1: Air Of Entitlement: A lightly-raced horse who after opening her account at Down Royal improved further when winning the Grade 2 Dawn Run at the Cheltenham Festival in March. She wasn’t seen at her best in a Grade 1 on this course a month later but she has plenty of potential and can pick up a 4th career win here.

2/11/25 The Curragh & Cork

An excellent Saturday at Down Royal saw both my picks win. In the days Grade 1 Envoi Allen was 3rd early making good headway to dispute the lead from 3 out, the 11/4 shot got to the front soon after staying on well to beat Affordale Fury by 3 1/4 lengths. In the other race Firefox was 2nd after the 8th improving to lead before the last, he stayed on strongly on the run-in comfortably beating Gorgeous Tom by 4 1/4 lengths.

There is a Sunday double header that sees 8 races at both The Curragh and Cork with 2 main events.

The Curragh 2.30: Comer Group International Loughbrown Stakes ( Group 3.)

2: Chally Chute: A decent horse who has made a good start for a new yard winning a listed race at Roscommon in July and then finishing 2nd in the Irish Cesarewitch over course and distance last time. He was unlucky that day but can make amends here picking up a 6th career win.

Cork 3.20: Paddy Power Cork Grand National Handicap Chase.

5: Fortunedefortunata: A fair horse who's last win came at Punchestown in February. His two runs since including being brought down early back at the same course when last seen in May can be discounted and with his yard in good form he can give them another win in this race on his return.
