1/2/25 Leopardstown

 The best on another poor day at Dundalk came from Mo Ghille Mar who was 5th. The 11/2 shot was 2nd early dropping to 3rd at halfway, she weakened soon after being eased down in the final furlong. Upfront Persian Bliss won beating Golden Temple by a neck. The other pick Lady Plimsoll was 12th in a race won by Snapaurum who beat Athlumney Warrior by 3 1/2 lengths. 

 The Dublin Racing Festival begins at Leopardstown on Saturday with 7 contests and 3 Grade one’s taking centre stage. 

1.15: Nathaniel Lacy & Partners Solicitors Novice Hurdle (Grade 1)

1: Final Demand: A good-looking prospect who impressed when winning on hurdles debut at Limerick 35 days ago. He led early but was 3rd at halfway, he led for a second time from 4 out asserting himself entering the straight going clear from 2 out and easily coming home by 15 lengths. He is worth his place at this level and with improvement expected he can follow up here.

2.55: Goffs Irish Arkle Novice Chase (Grade 1)

6: Majborough: A top-class horse who was 3rd in a Grade 1 on this card last year before moving on to win the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. He followed up by winning on chase debut on his return at Fairyhouse in December and should complete a hat-trick here. 

3.30: Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup Chase (Grade 1)

4: Galopin Des Champs: An outstanding horse who looked back to his best when winning the Savills Chase on this course over Christmas. He made all the running asserting himself on the run-in drawing clear in the closing stages beating the reopposing Fact To File by 7 1/2 lengths. He should make it a hat-trick of wins in this race before trying to do the same in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

31/1/25 Dundalk

 After a day off Irish racing returns with 7 contests at Dundalk on Friday night where there are 2 main events. 

 5.15: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden. 

10: Lady Plimsoll: A lightly-raced horse who was a good second over course and distance when last seen 3 weeks ago. She was 4th at halfway improving from a furlong out keeping on well taking 2nd in the closing stages. Of those with experience in this field she stands out and can go one better.

6.45: Floodlit Friday Nights At Dundalk Stadium Rated Race.

1: Mo Ghille Mar: A useful filly who improved from her hurdles debut when 3rd at Fairyhouse 21 days ago. She travelled well challenging approaching the straight, she made no impression from 2 out dropping to 3rd close to home. She makes her polytrack debut here and can pick up a 3rd career win.

29/1/25 Results

 A very poor Wednesday at Dundalk saw Anvika finish 6th. The 7/2 shot tracked the leaders sitting 4th at halfway, she improved into 2nd two out but had no extra after being slightly bumped 1 1/2 out dropping to 6th. Upfront Hightimeyouwon took the contest beating Volatile Analyst by 1 1/2 lengths. In the other race Tropical Retreat was a non-runner. 

 After today's action Irish racing takes a break on Thursday. There are meetings at Southwell, Wincanton and Chelmsford. The next Irish card is at Dundalk on Friday tips for the highlights will be up on Thursday night.

29/1/25 Dundalk

 Tuesday's winner at Limerick was Road Exile. The 4/9 favourite led narrowly from 5 out being passed soon after. He led again 2 out asserting himself in the closing stages beating Found A Diamond by 4 3/4 lengths. In the other race The Dancing Tree was 2nd. The 6/5 favourite led after a runner pulled up before the 6th, he kept on well under pressure but was passed close to home by On Your Way who won by a head. 

 Seven races take place at Dundalk on Wednesday with two standing out. 

2.17: View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium Maiden. 

14: Tropical Retreat: A promising horse who ran better than the result suggests when 4th on debut here 40 days ago. She tracked the leaders challenging from 2 out, she sat 3rd soon after keeping on at the same pace inside the final furlong. Improvement is expected here over a shorter trip and she can take this.

4.47: Dundalk Winter Series Leading Trainer & Jockey Championship Handicap. 

5: Anvika: A course winner who was a good second here 12 days ago. She travelled well from 2 out leading soon after, she got passed 150 yards from the finish making no further impression. She goes back down in trip here and can pick up a 3rd career win.

28/1/25 Limerick

 Another excellent day saw both my picks win. At Punchestown Slurricane was 3rd approaching halfway taking 2nd at the last, the 4/1 shot led on the run-in keeping on well under pressure beating Out For A Stroll by 1 1/4 lengths. Over at Dundalk Lost President was 3rd two out improving to lead soon after, he stayed on well in the final furlong to beat Amber Blossom by 3/4 of a length. 

 There are seven races at Limerick on Tuesday with two highlights. 

3.40: Limerick Novice Handicap Hurdle. 

2: The Dancing Tree: A useful winner on the flat who was a creditable 5th at Punchestown when last seen 16 days ago. He was in midfield early sitting 7th two out, he made no impression early in the straight but did move into 5th. He makes his handicap hurdle debut here and with improvement expected he can make it a winning one.

4.15: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction (Pro/Am) Flat Race.

1: Road Exile: A decent horse who impressed when second on debut here 31 days ago. He was 3rd at halfway leading from 2 out, he was strongly pressed being passed 150 yards from the finish. He rallied close to home only going down by a nose. He sets the standard here and should go one better.

27/1/25 Punchestown & Dundalk

 In Sunday's Grade three's at Naas both my picks won. The 2.00 saw Anzadam travel well from 2 out leading at the last, the 1/10 favourite stayed on strongly easily beating Beacon Edge by 11 lengths. In the other race Dancing City made all the running leading narrowly from 2 out, the 8/11 favourite stayed on well on the run-in comfortably beating Bioluminescence by 3 1/2 lengths. Afterwards the Willie Mullins trained horse was cut to 7/2 favourite for the Brown Advisory at the Cheltenham Festival.

 A busy Monday sees 7 races at both Punchestown and Dundalk with 2 features. 

Punchestown 1.40- Buy Festival 2025 Tickets Today Handicap Hurdle. 

2: Slurricane: A lightly-raced horse who was a creditable 2nd at Fairyhouse when last seen 44 days ago. He was 4th at halfway improving to challenge before the last, he led narrowly soon after keeping on well but being passed close to home going down by 3/4 of a length. He makes his handicap hurdle debut here and can go one better.

Dundalk 6.45: William Hill Top Price Guarantee Handicap. 

6: Lost President: A good horse who opened his account over course and distance 2 weeks ago. He was 6th two out making headway to lead inside the final furlong, he stayed on winning by 3/4 of a length. Despite a 7lb weight rise he should have enough to defy that and follow up here.

 The best on a poor Saturday at Fairyhouse came from Money Heist who was 4th. The 7/2 shot sat fifth early making progress from 3 out, he was 4th soon after making no impression from the last. Upfront Don’t Talk beat Champagne Mahler by 1 1/4 lengths. The days other pick Fancy Girl was 7th in a race won by Aurora Vega who beat Dream On Baby by 1 3/4 lengths. 

 Seven races take place at Naas on Sunday where there are 2 main events. 

2.00: Naas Racecourse Business Club Limestone Lad Hurdle (Grade 3)

2: Anzadam: A decent horse who remained unbeaten when taking the WillowWarm Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Irish debut 57 days ago. He was 5th early making headway into 3rd entering the straight, he led before the last staying on strongly and easily coming home by 6 1/2 lengths. He impressed there and this exciting prospect can follow up here.

2.30: Finlay Ford At Naas Novice Chase (Grade 3)

2: Dancing City: An excellent horse who picked up a career best win on fences debut at Punchestown 47 days ago. He tracked the leaders improving to hit the front after the 8th, he asserted himself before the last beating Shannon Royale by 1 1/2 lengths. He is the one to beat here and should achieve a 4-timer.

25/1/25 Fairyhouse

 After Friday's abandonment Irish racing returns on Saturday with 7 contests at Fairyhouse where 2 stand out. 

 12.28: SBK Handicap Chase. 

2: Money Heist: A promising horse who was a good 3rd at Down Royal just 4 days ago. He was at the rear early improving to sit 2nd and dispute the lead from 3 out, he had no extra approaching the last keeping on at the same pace. He goes back down in trip here and with the quick turnaround not being a problem he can return to winning ways. 

1.38: SBK Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle (Grade 3)

5: Fancy Girl: A horse who didn't build on early promise shown but got back on track when winning on hurdles debut at Cork 6 weeks ago. She made all the running asserting herself from 2 out, she was soon clear staying on well and easily coming home by 13 lengths. Further progress is expected and she can follow up here.

23/1/25 Results

 On Thursday at Gowran Park Nick Rockett won. The 9/2 joint favourite was in midfield at halfway making headway from 4 out, he travelled well entering the straight leading from 2 out. He stayed on strongly on the run-in beating Velvet Elvis by 2 1/4 lengths. In the days Grade 2 Hiddenvalley Lake was 7th in a race won by Rocky's Diamond who beat Thedevilscoachman by 1 1/4 lengths. 

 After today's racing the next Irish action was due to be at Dundalk on Friday but because of strong winds associated with Storm Ewoyn forecast throughout the day the meeting has been abandoned, it has been rearranged for January 27th. The next Irish card is at Fairyhouse on Saturday tips for the features will be up on Friday night.

23/1/25 Gowran Park

 After another day off Irish racing returns on Thursday with 7 contests at Gowran Park where 2 take centre stage. 

 2.13: John Mulhern Galmoy Hurdle (Grade 2)

2: Hiddenvalley Lake: A lightly-raced horse who has been in good form recently. He was 3rd in a Grade 1 at Aintree at the end of last season and followed that up with an excellent 2nd in the Long Walk at Ascot on his return 33 days ago. He was in midfield early there staying on well to take 2nd close to home only going down by a head. He can build on that and go one better here.

2.48: Goffs Thyestes Handicap Chase (Grade 3)

2: Nick Rockett: A decent horse who was a creditable 4th in a listed race at Leopardstown when last seen 27 days ago. He led for a second time entering the straight being passed before the last keeping on at one pace and dropping to 4th. He definitely has the ability to win a race like this and he can show that here by taking this big pot.

 The best on a very poor Tuesday at Down Royal came from Half A Chance who was 4th. He tracked the leaders early sitting 3rd two out, the 5/1 shot made no impression soon after dropping to 4th and having no extra. Upfront Disco Dancer won beating Blue Mosque by 1/2 a length. In the days other race The Big Doyen was 8th with the contest going to Conyers Hill who beat One Last Tango by a neck. 

 After today's action Irish racing takes another break on Wednesday. There are meetings at Lingfield, Catterick and Kempton. The next Irish card is at Gowran Park on Thursday where it's Goffs Thyestes day tips for that and the other main event will be up on Wednesday night.

 After a day off Irish racing returns on Tuesday with 7 contests at Down Royal where there are 2 features. 

 1.10: Franciscan Well Rated Novice Hurdle. 

4: Half A Chance: A fair horse who showed improvement when winning at Limerick on his last start back in May. He was 6th at halfway travelling well to lead approaching 2 out, he was clear at the last keeping on strongly and winning by 1 3/4 lengths. Despite being off 7 months improvement is expected and he can follow up here. 

2.42: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Rated Novice Chase. 

3: The Big Doyen: A useful winner over hurdles who was a good 7th on his return at Leopardstown 25 days ago. He was 4th at halfway but weakened in the closing stages dropping down to 7th. He can definitely build on that encouraging run here and pick up a 5th career win.

 In Sunday's Grade two at Thurles Blood Destiny finished 3rd. The 7/4 favourite was fifth at halfway improving to challenge entering the straight, he was passed before the last dropping to 3rd and making no impression while upfront Appreciate It won easily beating Classic Getaway by 6 lengths. In the other race Only By Night was a non-runner with the contest going to Nara who beat Broomfield Bijou by 2 1/4 lengths. 

 After the weekends action Irish racing takes a break on Monday. There are meetings at Warwick, Ayr, Kempton and Wolverhampton. The next Irish card is at Down Royal on Tuesday tips for the highlights will be up on Monday night.

 On Saturday at Navan the best came from Blaze The Way who was 2nd. The 6/1 shot was 3rd early improving to lead from 2 out, he was strongly pressed before the last being passed on the run-in by Music Of Tara who won by 1 1/4 lengths. The days other pick Ballygunner Castle was 4th in a race won by James’s Gate who beat C'est Ta Chance by 3/4 of a length. 

 7 races take place at Thurles on Sunday with 2 topping the bill. 

1.30: Carey Glass Irish EBF Mares Novice Chase (Grade 2)

1: Only By Night: A promising horse who picked up a career best win in a Grade 2 at Cork 42 days ago. She was fifth at halfway travelling well to lead 2 out, she kept on strongly on the run-in easily beating the reopposing Nara by 3 3/4 lengths. The step up in trip shouldn't be a problem and with more to come she can complete a hat-trick here.

2.05: Horse & Jockey Hotel Chase (Grade 2)

2: Blood Destiny: A smart chaser who was in top form last season his highlight being a Grade 3 success at Naven beating Spillane's Tower by 6 1/2 lengths. He was pulled up before the last on his final outing at Punchestown in May but despite being off 8 months he is well worth another chance and he can take this on his return.

 Friday's best came at Cork where Autoportrait was 2nd. The 6/5 shot was prominent early sitting 4th at halfway, he recovered from a slight mistake 3 out going 2nd soon after keeping on without reaching the winner The Story So Far who won by 1 1/2 lengths. Over at Dundalk Catch The Paddy was 7th in a race won by Exquisite Acclaim who beat Hightimeyouwon by 1/2 a length. 

 There are 7 races at Navan on Saturday where 2 stand out. 

12.00: Race Displays Rated Novice Hurdle. 

1: Ballygunner Castle: A lightly-raced horse who impressed when winning on hurdles debut at Fairyhouse 49 days ago. He recovered from being badly hampered to lead for a second time inside the final furlong staying on well to come home by 1 1/4 lengths. He should improve further here and complete a 4-timer before possibly moving onto Grade 1 company. 

1.10: Navan Handicap Hurdle. 

19: Blaze The Way: A decent horse who picked up a career best win on this course 34 days ago. He was 5th at halfway and despite coming under pressure 2 out he stayed on to lead on the run-in pulling away winning by 3 1/4 lengths. Despite a 7lb weight rise he has the ability to follow up here.

 The best on a poor Thursday at Fairyhouse came from Heroes Rise who was 3rd. The 11/10 favourite led early but a mistake 2 out saw him passed, he made no further impression dropping to 3rd close to home while upfront Find A Fortune won beating Palamon by 2 1/2 lengths. In the other race Theonewedreamof was 5th with the contest going to Clonbury Bridge who beat Wine An Dine by a length. 

 A busy Friday sees 7 races at both Cork and Dundalk with 2 main events. 

Cork 1.40: Mallow Maiden Hurdle. 

1: Autoportrait: A promising horse who was last seen finishing 3rd at Limerick 22 days ago. He was 2nd early but dropped to 3rd two out, he made no impression on the winner but finished well clear of the rest. Despite going significantly up in trip here his recent performances make him the one to beat.

Dundalk 5.45: Group Deals Available At Dundalk Stadium Rated Race.

4: Catch The Paddy: A useful horse who has been a course winner his latest came in December. He was a respectable 4th over course and distance 30 days ago leading early and going clear, he was passed inside the final furlong dropping to 4th and having no extra. Providing he isn't as keen here then he can pick up a 5th career win.

 The winner on Wednesday at Clonmel was Hillsdale. The 7/4 favourite was 4th at halfway making progress into 2nd 4 out, he recovered from a mistake to lead entering the straight keeping on well from the last easily beating Cheerful Chap by 7 1/2 lengths. In the other race Bunting was 2nd. The 5/6 favourite led early but was passed 3 out, he disputed the lead again entering the straight and was left in 2nd after a faller 2 out but had no extra leaving Beckett Rock to win by 3/4 of a length. 

 Seven races take place at Fairyhouse on Thursday with 2 highlights. 

12.30: Book Your Easter Early Bird Tickets Handicap Chase. 

4: Theonewedreamof: A fair horse who has one win from three runs this season, that came at Tipperary back in July where she sat 3rd four out travelling well approaching the straight leading before the last and coming home by 1 1/4 lengths. She was a good 5th when last seen at Cheltenham 33 days ago and can return to winning ways here. 

1.05: Easter Festival April 19th- 21st Rated Novice Hurdle. 

3: Heroes Rise: A useful hurdler who was a very good second at Thurles 26 days ago. He was 6th at halfway making headway into 2nd before the last, despite making no impression on the winner he was clear of the rest of the field. He can continue going in the right direction by picking up a 2nd career win here.

 The winner on Tuesday at Dundalk was Brigadier Kakuru. The 4/5 favourite made all the running being strongly pressed inside the final furlong, despite having his lead reduced he kept on well just beating Suerte by a head. The days other pick Aird was 4th in a race won by Pavilion End who beat Babich by a short head.

 On Wednesday there are 7 races at Clonmel with 2 features. 

12.25: Jossestown Handicap Chase. 

3: Hillsdale: An interesting horse who picked up a career best win on his 4th fences start at Naas 30 days ago. He was in midfield making headway from 4 out, he led before the last staying on strongly and easily coming home by 11 lengths. Despite a weight rise he has to be taken seriously and can follow up here. 

1.30: Munster Hurdle. 

4: Bunting: A useful hurdler who won his first two starts including his Irish debut at Limerick before moving up to Grade 1 company where his best finish was a 4th in the Spring Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown. He was last seen finishing 3rd on the flat at Killarney back in May and despite being off 8 months he looks like the one to beat here.

14/1/25 Dundalk

 Monday's winner at Punchestown was Ragmans Corner. The 11/4 Joint favourite sat at the rear early making progress from 4 out, he travelled well to lead approaching 2 out going clear at the last keeping on well and easily beating Royal Time by 12 lengths. In the other race Custom Taylor was 2nd. The 2/1 favourite was 3rd at the 7th moving into 2nd 4 out. He made no impression before the last allowing Will The Wise to win by 1 1/2 lengths. 

 Dundalk stages Tuesday's action where on a 7 race card 2 stand out. 

2.30: Irishinjuredjockeys.com Apprentice Maiden.

6: Aird: A useful mare who despite being winless after 9 runs was a respectable 2nd over course and distance when last seen 27 days ago. She was in midfield early making headway into 3rd two out, she kept on at the same pace in the final furlong taking 2nd close to home. She should make her presence felt here and open her account. 

4.30: Join Us On Instagram At Dundalk_Stadium Race.

2: Brigadier Kakuru: A decent horse who has improved with each run culminating with a career best win over course and distance 34 days ago. He made all the running travelling well from 2 out and going clear, he stayed on in the final furlong easily coming home by 1 1/2 lengths. Further progress is on the cards and he can follow up here.

13/1/25 Punchestown

 The winner at Punchestown on Sunday was Salvator Mundi. The 8/15 favourite tracked the leaders sitting 4th at halfway, he made headway to lead approaching the last and despite not being fluent he kept on well on the run-in beating Kel Histoire by 3 lengths. In the other race Down Memory Lane was 2nd. The 6/4 shot travelled well early and was 2nd at halfway. A bad mistake at the last ended any challenge allowing Lecky Watson to win by 8 lengths.

 There is a second day at Punchestown on Monday with 7 races and 2 main events.

1.18: John Thomas McNamara Series (Q.R.) Handicap Hurdle. 

4: Ragmans Corner: A decent horse who picked up a first career win at Galway in October. He was a very good second at Fairyhouse when last seen 30 days ago sitting 4th entering the straight delivering a challenge 2 out, he disputed the lead soon after but was passed approaching the last keeping on without reaching the winner. He can build on that here and go one better.

2.48: 50,000 Betvictor Graduation Bonus Series Maiden Hurdle. 

4: Custom Taylor: A promising horse who has one win from three runs this season, that came at Kilbeggan in May and he was a creditable 2nd at Limerick 15 days ago. He was 2nd most of the way briefly dropping to 3rd two out, he regained 2nd on the run-in but didn't trouble the winner. He should progress further here and return to winning ways.

 Saturday's winner at Fairyhouse was Noble Birth. The 11/4 favourite led narrowly early increasing his advantage after the 8th, despite having a reduced lead from 2 out he asserted himself before the last keeping on well on the run-in comfortably beating Banjaxed by 4 1/4 lengths. In the days Grade 3 Midnight It Is was 3rd in a race won by The King Of Prs who beat Path D'Oroux by 2 3/4 lengths. 

 There are 7 races at Punchestown on Sunday where we have 2 highlights. 

12.55: Sky Bet For The Fans Novice Chase (Grade 3)

1: Down Memory Lane: A decent horse who looked an exciting prospect when winning on chase debut at Navan in November. He made all the running staying on strongly in the closing stages and easily coming home by 7 lengths. He disappointed when 3rd in a Grade 1 at Sandown 36 days ago but going back up in trip here should suit and he can bounce back. 

2.25: Sky Bet Club Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle (Grade 2)

5: Salvator Mundi: A promising horse who after finishing 6th in the Triumph Hurdle on debut for Willie Mullins went onto win by an unchallenged 62 lengths at Tipperary when last seen back in May. Despite being off 8 months he is the one to beat here on reappearance and he can show why he is the current favourite for the Supreme at the Cheltenham Festival.

11/1/25 Fairyhouse

 The best at Dundalk on Friday came from Beautiful Affair who was 2nd. The 13/8 favourite tracked the leaders early sitting 4th entering the straight, she moved into 2nd a furlong out but made no impression keeping on at one pace allowing Powerful Lady to win by 3 3/4 lengths. The other pick Mveve was 4th in a race won by Calm The Jets who beat Lady Plimsoll by 2 3/4 lengths. 

 If a 7.30am inspection is passed then the weekend will begin with 7 races at Fairyhouse on Saturday where there are 2 features. 

1.45: SBK Dan & Joan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase (Grade 3)

9: Midnight It Is: A decent horse who has been a course and distance winner. He picked up a career best victory at Navan on his return 27 days ago, he was 2nd two out leading before the last and despite his advantage being reduced he came home by 1 1/2 lengths. This is a tougher race but he can complete a hat-trick here.

2.51: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Rated Novice Chase. 

3: Noble Birth: A useful chaser who was a good 3rd at Cheltenham when last seen 56 days ago. He led approaching the last but edged to the right and was passed soon after keeping on at one pace. He switches back to chasing here and has to be taken seriously.

 The Irish racing week finally gets underway with 8 contests at Dundalk on Friday where 2 stand out.

5.30: Group Deals Available At Dundalk Stadium Maiden. 

9: Mveve: A lightly-raced horse who was a decent 3rd on this course when last seen 51 days ago. She disputed the lead early but sat third at halfway, she moved into 2nd 1 1/2 out but made no impression close to home. She sets the standard here and can open her account. 

6.00: View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium Fillies Maiden. 

1: Beautiful Affair: A well-bred horse who was 6th over course and distance on debut 30 days ago. She travelled well but was short of room from 2 out not getting a clear run and dropping down the field. She is definitely capable of better and can show that here by picking up her first win.

 After 3 days off Irish racing was due to return at Clonmel on Thursday but the weather had other idea's. The track received a covering of snow and with temperatures continuing to be very low the meeting was called off, it has been rescheduled for January 15th. The next Irish card is on the All-weather at Dundalk on Friday tips for the highlights will be up on Thursday night.

 The best on a poor Sunday at Naas came from Inthepocket who was 3rd. The 11/10 favourite was at the rear early improving to go 3rd two out. A mistake at the last ended any challenge and he kept on at one pace on the run-in while upfront Ill Atlantique won beating Firefox by a comfortable 5 lengths. In the days Grade 1 Jasmin De Vaux was 4th in a race won by The Yellow Clay who easily beat Supersundae by 8 lengths. 

After today's action Irish racing takes a 3 day break. There are meetings at Ludlow, Ayr and Wolverhampton on Monday, Hereford, and Wolverhampton on Tuesday with Taunton, Newcastle and Kempton on Wednesday. The next Irish card is at Clonmel on Thursday tips for the features will be up on Wednesday night.

5/1/25 Naas

 Neither of Saturday's tips ran because the meeting at Cork was called off. After an overnight frost parts of the track were frozen and unfit for racing. The card has yet to be rearranged. 

 After today's abandonment there are due to be 7 races at Naas on Sunday and if an inspection is passed then we will have 2 main events. 

 1.25: Racing Post Novice Chase (Grade 2)

3: Inthepocket: A decent hurdler who's standout win was in the Grade 1 Top Novices Hurdle at Aintree back in April 2023. He returned after nearly a year off to win a beginners chase at Wexford in October where he made all the running jumping well and coming home by an impressive 15 lengths. Further progress is expected and he can follow up here. 

1.55: Lawlor's Of Naas Novice Hurdle (Grade 1)

2: Jasmin De Vaux: A smart horse who won the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in March. He bounced back from a defeat at Punchestown to win on hurdles debut at Navan 29 days ago overcoming a couple of mistakes to go clear inside the final furlong staying on strongly and winning by 4 1/4 lengths. The trip here should suit and he can win again.

4/1/25 Cork

 If an 8am inspection is passed then Irish racing returns on Saturday with 7 contests at Cork where there are 2 highlights.

 2.15: Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Handicap Hurdle. 

3: Ad Caelum: A decent horse who got back to winning ways at Limerick just 6 days ago. She was at the rear early making progress from 3 out, she led soon after keeping on well on the run-in and coming home by 1 3/4 lengths. Despite the quick turnaround she has a good chance here and can follow up. 

3.25: Easyfix Handicap Chase. 

8: Prince Zaltar: A promising horse who was a creditable 2nd at Aintree when last seen back in December 2023. He made headway from 2 out staying on and taking 2nd in the closing stages. He switches to chasing here and despite being off 13 months he can pick up a 4th career win.

1/1/25 Results

 The first races of the year saw both my picks finish 2nd. At Tramore Monty's Star tracked the leaders sitting 2nd at halfway, the 4/5 favourite began a challenge 2 out but he made a slight mistake at the last making no impression on the run-in allowing Embassy Gardens to win by 5 lengths. At Fairyhouse Limerick Lace was 4th early and was left in 2nd after a faller 4 out. The 2/1 shot kept on at one pace not troubling the easy winner Allegorie De Vassy who came home by 25 lengths. 

 After today's action Irish racing takes a 2 day break. There are meetings at Ayr, Huntingdon and Newcastle on Thursday with Lingfield, Musselburgh and Southwell on Friday. The next Irish card is at Cork on Saturday tips for the highlights will be up here for you on Friday night.
