Friday's best came at Down Royal where Carrigmoornaspruce was 2nd. The 1/1 favourite challenged from 2 out keeping on well on the run-in without threatening, Full Of Life won by 1 1/4 lengths. In the other races Collective Power was 3rd at Dundalk with Barbapapa beating Little Queenie by a nose while The Yellow Clay was a non-runner.
A new month begins on Saturday with 8 races at Down Royal where 2 top the bill.
2.40: Betvictor Champion Chase (Grade 1.)
2: Envoi Allen: A top-class horse who has an excellent record at this meeting including winning this race for a second time 12 months ago. He was 3rd at halfway leading before the last and coming home by 1/2 a length. He wasn't seen at his best on his last outing at the Cheltenham Festival in March but he can bounce back here and defend his crown.
3.15: Kildress Plumbing Chase (Grade 2.)
3: Firefox: A good chaser who has been a course and distance winner. He was last seen finishing 2nd behind Spindleberry in a Grade 1 at Fairyhouse in April where he led early being passed 2 out keeping on well without troubling the winner. Being off 6 months won't be a problem and he should double his tally over fences here.
