1/9/25 Roscommon

The best on Sunday at Tipperary came from Copacabana Sands who was 4th. The 9/2 shot tracked the leaders moving to the front from 2 out. She was passed soon after dropping to 3rd. She lost another place inside the final furlong while upfront Princess Child won beating Queen Of Thunder by a short head. In the other race Two Stars was a non-runner.

September kicks off with 7 races at Roscommon on Monday where there are 2 features.

4.12: Irish EBF Median Sires Series Race.

3: Summer Is Tomorrow: A fair horse who was last seen finishing 2nd at Naas in early August. He was in midfield keeping on strongly to challenge inside the final furlong. Despite crossing the line 3rd he was promoted to 2nd after a stewards enquiry. The step back up in trip here should suit and he can pick up a second career win.

5.15: Lidan Handicap.

7: Pierre Royal: A lightly-raced horse who was a bit below form when 6th on handicap debut at Leopardstown in June. He was unsuited by the trip that day so dropping to 7 furlongs here seems a good move. Looking at previous form he is well worth another chance and he can win again.
